Dickies 500 Qualifying Session
There were a total of 48 cars who attempted to qualify for the Dickies 500 at Texas Motorspeedway. This meant that a total of 5 cars had to go home, in order to field a 43 car field. This weekend, mother nature did not impede on Joey Logano’s attempt to qualify his way into the race. Fortunately for Joey Logano, he barely squeaked into the show, qualifying into the 43rd qualifying position. Jeff Gordon would win the pole at Texas.
The five drivers to go home were: Bryan Clauson, Chad McCumbee, Max Papis, Tony Raines, Johnny Sauter.
