Joey Logano made his Craftsman Truck series debut this weekend at Talladega. He made his debut in the number 59 Team ASE/Raybestos/HT Toyota Tundra.

Joey had a great qualifying lap, and was able to qualify in the sixth position.

At the end of the day Joey Logano finished in the 26th position. Unfortunately for Joey, lady luck was not on his side. On lap number 19, the side window of his Toyota Tundra Truck flew out and tore the b-post off. Logano had to bring the truck in for repairs. After they got the truck fixed, Logano was already laps down, and he was never able to recover from that, and finished in the 26th position.

Here is what Joey had to say about his weekend at Talladega, “This weekend has been a good learning experience for me, between the Truck and ARCA races, Hopefully I will be able to take this seat-time and carry it over to the Sprint Cup Series. I would like to thank all of the folks at HT Motorsports and Joe Gibbs Racing for the opportunity to drive this Toyota in the Truck Series.”

This has been the year of Debuts for young 18 year old Joey Logano. Earlier this year, his made his first career nationwide series start at Dover International Speedway in number 20 Gamestop Toyota. Later on he made his sprint cup series debut at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in the number 96 Home Depot Toyota Camry.

Now it has been announced that Joey Logano will make his first ever truck race at Talladega this weekend.

What Car will Joey Logano be driving?

Joey Logano will be driving the number 59 ASE/Harris Trucking Toyota, owned by Jim Harris. Joey Logano will have Danny Rollins as his crew chief.

The number 59 truck was previously being driven by Ted Musgrave. Musgrave and the ASA/Harris Trucking team recently parted ways, and the last truck race at the Las Vegas Motor speedway, Stacy Compton was the driver.

This weekend it will be Joey Logano’s turn to pilot the number 59 ASE/Harris Truck.

When will the Mountain Dew 250 Air On Television?

The race will be run on Saturday October 4th, 2008. It will be televised on SPEED tv, starting at 3:30 pm eastern time.
